Moor Pool is a special place. English Heritage called it a “hidden gem” and an exceptional surviving example of the Arts & Crafts garden suburb movement.

The town planning of Moor Pool was led by John Sutton Nettlefold in 1902. He believed that if people live, socialise, play and work together, then a stronger sense of community develops. Today. the Moor Pool Heritage Trust solely exists to conserve the community assets and protect Moor Pool’s heritage for future generations.

How your support will help

Over a year here are some examples of how your donation could make a difference:
  • £5 per month provides children with special educational needs access to three subsidised educational sessions in our Carless Eco Centre.
  • £10 per month keeps our community groups dry by re-proofing Moor Pool Hall’s roof and windows.
  • £20 per month ensures our large trees thrive and are well maintained via our annual tree works schedule.

Your support will also help fund our big projects

Funds we raise enable us to secure match-funding grants for our larger projects. By making a regular donation, you could also help our community by getting projects such as these up and running:
  • Complete refurbishment of the Main Hall lobby and toilets, including installation of wheelchair access via a ramp and an accessible toilet
  • Protection of the Pool’s eco system and environment
  • Hall maintenance and repairs; roof, windows, drains, heating boiler…the list goes on!
