The long summer break is just around the corner and Moor Pool Heritage Trust has an exciting line-up of family-friendly events to keep kids engaged and entertained throughout the school holidays. Whether your child loves building, crafting or exploring the outdoors, there’s something for everyone this summer!
Our Let’s Do Lego sessions offer a relaxed and creative space for children of all ages to build and play. Held in the Main Hall, these sessions are free and open to all, no booking required. Parents can enjoy refreshments while the kids dive into a world of imagination.

Unleash your child’s creativity with summer-themed craft sessions in the Main Hall. These sessions are perfect for budding artists and makers!

Cost: £5 per child (covers materials) – no need to book, just come along!

Join us in the Main Hall to make homes for our insect friends using recycled plastic bottles! This session is perfect for children of all ages.

Moor Pool has become a haven for minibeasts this summer! Pick up a trail map from the front of the Hall from Wednesday 16th July and see if you can find our nine crochet bug friends around the Estate.
We’ve put together a Moor Pool Explorers Bag, which includes activities, games and books to help you and your little ones discover nature around the Estate this summer. You can hire the bag for a suggested donation of £3 for 3 hours from the Moor Pool Estate Office (next to the Circle tennis courts) between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.
Do you fancy getting active while enjoying the Arts & Crafts splendour or Moor Pool this summer? Complete a 5k anywhere around Moor Pool over the six week summer holiday period to help us raise £5,000 and you’ll be rewarded with a unique Moor Pool medal to be presented at the Moor Pool Heritage Festival on Sunday 14th September.
