Come and experience the wonderful community spirit and Arts and Crafts splendour of Moor Pool Estate at our annual Heritage Festival which delivers a village fete vibe and is an opportunity to discover more about Moor Pool’s history and activities.
The Moor Pool Heritage Festival is part of the nationwide Heritage Open Days and Birmingham Heritage Week and there will be a range of activities to entertain the whole family.
Creativity Unwrapped: Unwrap Moor Pool’s creativity from through the ages, finding out about who built this Arts & Crafts Estate and celebrating the activities that have taken place past to present with dance and music!
We have a packed programme highlighting the range of exciting activities that regularly take place around the Estate and welcome back Sovereign Brass Band playing at the Circle and Anvil Chorus!
Regular clubs will be open on the day, and visitors will have the chance to try their hand at the activities including bowling, tennis and snooker and find out more about the clubs. Enjoy home-made cakes and home grown produce, and learn more about the wide range of events which take place at Moor Pool throughout the year including taster sessions and demos from Line Dancing, Mezzo Dance, Bilinguasing, Mini Athletics, and Capoeira Brazilian Dancing amongst many others and creative LEGO in the Main Hall.
There will be fun for all the family! Craft, planting, seed bomb making, kids book swap and FREE face-painting at the Carless Eco Centre, and themed trails across the Estate and Nettlefold Garden.
There will be a heritage tour starting at 14.00pm which you can sign up for on the day at Moor Pool Hall.
