Looking for low-cost ways to keep the family entertained during the summer holidays? Join us at Moor Pool for six weeks packed with fun, creativity and discovery.
When: Friday 10th July – Monday 21st September
What to expect: The worker bees of Moor Pool are busy helping the garden suburb run smoothly, each with an important job to do. Visit all 9 stops on the map, complete the mini challenges, and discover how people worked and lived in the early days of the Moor Pool Estate. Collect a trail map from the front of the Hall or download one from 10th July.
When: Thursdays 23rd July, 6th and 27th August 10am – 12pm
What to expect: Moor Pool’s ever-popular Let’s Do Lego stay and play sessions. Free to attend, with no booking needed, just pop in. Expect creative building, friendly chatter, plus cake and drinks for sale to enjoy while you (or the kids) construct the next Lego masterpiece. We have lots of different bricks so there’s something for everyone to play with, from toddlers to teens.
When: Fridays 31st July and 14th August 10am-12pm
What to Expect: Creative, seasonal holiday fun. All materials provided for just £5 per child (under 2’s go free). No booking necessary, just turn up. Cake and drinks will be on sale.
Now is the perfect time to get children out in the sunshine to explore Moor Pool Estate and the wildlife that lives here. To help you and your little ones discover the nature on your doorstep, we’ve put together a Moor Pool Explorers Bag. It’s jam-packed with things to do and should keep you busy for an hour or two!
When and where: You can hire the bag from the Moor Pool Estate Office (next to the Circle tennis courts) between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday (excl. bank holidays). Just pop in to collect it.
How to get involved: We’re asking for a suggested donation of £3 (cash or card) and you can hire the bag for up to 3 hours. And, as always, we’d love to see what you get up to so please share any photos or videos with us on Facebook or Instagram.
Moor Pool Hall is located at 37 The Circle, Harborne, Birmingham, B17 9DY. Free, on-street parking is available around The Circle and on neighbouring roads, but please be considerate of residents by not blocking driveways or drop-kerbs.
