Circle Cinema: 10th anniversary double bill

About this event

To celebrate 10 years of Circle Cinema, they will be presenting a double bill on Sunday 7th June. This special event also marks the launch of their fund-raising campaign for new cinema equipment. Their ambition is to install a brand new permanent screen that can roll down at the touch of a button, and invest in a backup projector. This will allow them to continue to offer a big screen experience, without the difficulty of setting up their current screen each time, or the worry that their equipment will fail (they’ve had to repair both the screen and the projector recently).

Ratatouille 3pm

For our afternoon screening, we’re heading to Paris for a heart-warming family favourite. Packed with humour, warmth and stunning animation, Ratatouille tells the story of Remy, a determined young rat with a dream of becoming a great chef in one of Paris’s finest restaurants. It’s a joyful celebration of creativity, friendship and following your passion, whatever others might think.

Whether you’re bringing children, grandchildren, friends or simply revisiting a modern classic yourself, Ratatouille is the perfect film to enjoy together on the big screen.

Tickets are £6 for adult non-members (£1 for adult members) and £2 for children. Book online.

Casablanca 7:15pm

Step into the romance, intrigue and glamour of Hollywood’s golden age as Circle Cinema presents a very special screening of Casablanca.

Join us for an unforgettable evening as we transform Moor Pool Hall for one night only with live piano music before the film, a raffle and wine (or a mocktail) from our licensed bar. Members of the committee will be dressing for the occasion and we warmly encourage you to join in too, though dressing up is entirely optional!

Whether you’re discovering Casablanca for the first time or returning to a timeless favourite, expect a wonderful community evening filled with laughter, nostalgia and movie magic. Best of all, ticket prices remain the same as our normal screenings – so come along, bring friends, and help us celebrate the start of an exciting new chapter for Circle Cinema.

Tickets are £6 for non-members or £1 for members. Book online.
