Can you crochet? If so, we would love your help in making granny squares for our CommuniTREE Christmas project.
The aim is to create a colourful tree installation which will decorate the front of Moor Pool Hall for our Christmas events in December, but we need your skills to make our tree as beautiful as possible!
Here’s how to get involved:
Crochet as many granny squares as you can – we’re going to need lots to make our tree as beautiful as possible!
- Squares should measure 15cm/6 inches.
Squares can follow any pattern you like – basic granny square or something more intricate – click for inspiration.
- You can use any colours for your squares, but your final round/border must be a shade of green.
- Don’t forget to weave in all of your ends!
- Drop off your finished squares at the Moor Pool Estate Office on The Circle by Sunday 15th November. There will be a plastic box by the main doors, alongside the tennis courts.
- We will then sew them all together into a stunning community focal point which will be displayed at the front of Moor Pool Hall in time for our Christmas events in December.
Spread the word among your crafty friends and we look forward to seeing all of your colourful granny squares very soon!
