The Moor Pool 5k Summer Challenge is back!

Do you fancy a challenge this summer to get active and enjoy the outdoors? Sign up to the Moor Pool 5k Summer Challenge! This year the challenge will extend to the wider Moor Pool area so your 5km doesn’t need to stay entirely within the Estate, but should include it. We are also extending the period to include the whole of the summer, from 22nd June to 13th September!

You can run, walk, or complete the challenge in a wheelchair anywhere in and around Moor Pool, in one go or spread the distance out over the 12 weeks. It’s all about getting active and enjoying the outdoors and Moor Pool at your own pace, whether you’re aiming for a personal best or enjoying time out with the family and friends, the challenge is for everyone of all ages and abilities.

You’ll be rewarded with a unique Moor Pool medal to be presented at the Moor Pool Heritage Festival on Sunday 20th September. Here are some of our awesome 2025 participants proudly wearing their medals!

Registration is £10 per individual or £25 per family (reimbursed if you fundraise for us). Family registration includes 1-2 adults and up to 3 children. Everyone who takes part will receive a unique Moor Pool medal, with a new design for 2026!

Registration opens 25th May until 28th July.

If your friends and family would like to donate to your challenge, they can do so on the Moor Pool Heritage Trust Justgiving page.

The funds raised will help us continue to conserve and preserve the character of the spaces and buildings we look after that you have enjoyed on your route, for the local and wider community to enjoy.

Once you have completed your 5k challenge, please submit details on the following form:

Medals can be collected on Sunday 20th September at the Moor Pool Heritage Festival or from the Estate Office from Monday 21st September.
