Tuesday 7th August, at 13:30- 14:30. 

Join our colourful wonderland, with magical messy activities set to raise hairs and spark imaginations. At Happimess, kids can enjoy activities such as pizza making and cup cake decoration, get messy with glitter sparkle spaghetti and our mud kitchen or entertain with our king karaoke and diamond disco.

 Moor Pool Heritage Festival!

Sunday 9th September 11am-3pm

The much anticipated annual Moor Pool Heritage Festival is in its tenth year, and is an opportunity to explore and find out all about Moor Pool's history. Discover this unique historic garden suburb, as the historic community facilities open their doors to celebrate life on the Moor Pool Estate. As part of Heritage Open Days & Birmingham Heritage Week visitors can explore Moor Pool’s history, its hidden spaces, active societies and enjoy fun for all the family! There will be fete games, performances, tours & trails that follow intriguing pathways, the scenic Moor Pool itself, green spaces, and the Arts and Crafts buildings. FREE ENTRY

History Talks at Moor Pool 2018!

7th August                        Riot, Resistance and Reform: a history of protest in Birmingham.

A talk by Rachel West. Find out more about the people, movements and struggles that shaped Birmingham, and had an influence on the country as a whole.

18th September                History of chocolate: Cadbury’s, Terry’s and Rowntree.

A talk by Lydia Duffy. From its arrival in the 16th century, chocolate has been a pleasure shared by family and friends. This talk will delve deeper into the history of chocolate makers here in England, exploring how and why Cadbury's, Rowntree and Terry's became the household names they are today.

6th November 2018         Washington Irving and our Christmas traditions.

A Dickensian Christmas conjures up images of many Christmas traditions which we take for granted in our modern festivities. This history talk explores the origins of these traditions, and looks at what role Washington Irving, an American living in Birmingham, played in inspiring Charles Dickens.
